A postcode lookup facility enables customers to provide just their postcode and building number or name, from which the rest of their address details are determined automatically. This can provide significant benefits for both the customer and the supplier:
- Faster checkout process, delivering a better customer experience and reduced cart abandonment
- Improved addressing accuracy, leading to fewer delivery failures, and more accurate address verification for card payments
- Consistent address formatting for reporting and geographical targetting
Actinic has negotiated a special rate for its customers for the supply of post code lookup services using the market leading Postcode Anywhere service. This is fully integrated into Actinic desktop ecommerce packages from v9 onwards. Actinic customers receive a 10% discount on all normal prices. Different pricing applies for lookup on the web site, and on the desktop as part of the Actinic Business MOTO (mail order) capability.
In order to sign up at the discount rate, you must click on 'I agree' below, and this will take you to the special Actinic customer sign up area at Postcode Anywhere. You will also need to agree to the full Postcode Anywhere terms and conditions when you sign up with them for their service.

Post code data is provided by The Royal Mail and if the Royal Mail vary their licensing of this data in a significant way, the service may be changed or withdrawn.
Post Code Anywhere may block post code look ups within the Actinic Business desktop software where any one copy of the software is performing more than 1,000 lookups per day (or such other amount as PCA reasonably considers is excessive non-manual use).
In the case of the unavailability of the Post Code Anywhere service, your buyers and your MOTO operators are able to manually enter data, and you may switch off use of Post Code Anywhere within your application software to avoid any confusion.
Post Code Anywhere and Actinic can and will access and view your account details to the extent reasonably necessary to ensure that we can undertake our obligations to you.
